Set up your private address

Browser only
A free extension sends just that browser through your private address. Great for web apps like online banking and email. Desktop apps aren't covered.
Your device's built-in setting
Use the proxy setting already built into your computer or phone. Covers browsers and most apps, including Microsoft 365 apps on Windows and Mac in most setups. A few apps ignore it.
A proxy app that catches everything
When an app ignores your settings or can't log in, a proxy app sends every app through your private address, on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
A travel router
A small OpenWrt-based travel router (like GL.iNet) can put every device on its Wi-Fi on your private address. Set it once. Technical to set up, so it's the advanced option.
Whatever you choose
Use the same address every day. That steadiness is the whole point. Banks and online accounts are calmer when they see the same private address day after day. Switching it on and off a lot, or mixing it with a VPN, looks less like the usual you.
Where are my details? Log in to your account → My Services → Private Address. You'll find your IP address, an HTTP port, a SOCKS5 port, a username and a password. In our guides they appear as yellow boxes like YOUR-IP and YOUR-PORT.
Good to know: IDNI changes where you appear to be. It isn't encryption like a VPN. Websites with the padlock (HTTPS) still protect what you send, which is almost all of them.
