IDNI Proxy Service: your IDNI browser tool

Add it from the Chrome Web Store in one click. Paste your Private Address details once, flip the switch, and this browser uses your IDNI address.

  • About 2 minutes to set up
  • Google Chrome
  • One-click install

Coming soonIDNI Connect for Windows. Send all your apps, like Teams, Outlook and Zoom, or your whole computer, through your IDNI private address, not just Chrome. Free for IDNI customers. You don't have to wait: our setup guides already show you how to use your private address in Windows settings and other apps.

The short version

  • Get the IDNI browser tool free from the Chrome Web Store — one click, no fuss.
  • After you buy a Private Address, open the tool, paste the one-line details from your welcome email, and turn it on.
  • One switch in your toolbar sends this browser through your IDNI private address, or back to your normal connection.

What it does

  • One-click on and off. Click the IDNI icon and flip the switch. When it's on, websites you open in this browser see your IDNI address in the country you chose. When it's off, they see your normal connection.
  • Shows what websites see. Press Check it works and the tool tells you the place and address websites see right now, and whether it matches your IDNI address.
  • Keep video calls on your IDNI address. Video calls in the browser can leak your real connection even while your IDNI address is on. The tool blocks that by default. You can turn it off in settings if a video call stops working.
  • Websites to leave alone. If a site works better on your local connection (a local shop or news site where you are right now), add it in settings and it will skip your IDNI address.
  • Time zone tip. If your computer's clock is set to a very different time zone from your IDNI address, the tool points it out and shows how to change it. Some websites show the wrong local times, or ask you to confirm your sign-in more often, when the two don't match.
  • Clear messages when something's wrong, like a mistyped password or another browser add-on getting in the way.

Get it from the Chrome Web Store

One-click install. No zip files, no special settings — just Add to Chrome.

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store

Go to the IDNI Proxy Service listing (or search for IDNI Proxy Service in the Chrome Web Store).

  2. Click “Add to Chrome”

Confirm with Add extension. That's it — the tool is installed.

  3. Pin it to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon next to the address bar, then the pin next to IDNI. Now the switch is always one click away.

Using Microsoft Edge? You can add it from the Chrome Web Store too. When Edge asks, allow extensions from other stores, then click Add.

How to use it

  1. Copy the one-line details

Open your IDNI welcome email, "Your Private Address is ready: here's how to connect". Near the bottom is a line that looks like this:

    203.0.113.25:10234:your-username:your-password

Copy that whole line. It holds your IP address, port, username and password. (You can also copy everything from your account → My Services → Private Address.)

  2. Paste it into the IDNI tool

Open the IDNI icon (or its settings page), paste into the box, and check the “Here is what we found” preview.

  3. Turn it on

Press Save and switch on (or flip the switch). The tool runs a quick check. You'll see where websites now see you, for example New York, United States.

Chrome needs the HTTP port. The one-line details in your welcome email already use the right port. If the tool says your details are for SOCKS5, contact support and we'll send the HTTP port.

Good to know

  • Your privacy. Your details stay in your browser, on that computer. They're only used to sign in to your IDNI address. When you press Check it works, the tool asks IP2Location and GeoJS (MaxMind GeoLite2 data), or ipapi.is if IP2Location doesn't answer, which address websites see; your details aren't sent with them. See our Privacy Policy.
  • Private windows aren't covered unless you allow it. Anything you open in an Incognito window uses your normal connection. To include them, open Chrome's extensions page, click Details under IDNI, and turn on Allow in Incognito.
  • Only this browser. Desktop apps like Outlook or Teams, and your phone, aren't covered. See the Windows, Mac or every-app guides for those.
  • Already using FoxyProxy or ZeroOmega? Only one tool can manage this at a time. Switch the other one off.
  • Use the same address every day. A steady address is what makes sites like Microsoft 365 comfortable. Leaving the switch on while you work is the simplest habit.
